COVID-19 Procedures

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the guidelines set forth by the Province and the CAAA, we are implementing some changes to our appointment booking procedures which include prescreening for COVID-19 symptoms and additional staggering of patient bookings.

  • You can expect a phone call from Beth the day prior to your appointment to pre-screen through the signs and symptoms of COVID-19. When you arrive at the clinic, you will come to the eastern front entrance of the house.   There will be COVID-19 self assessment form and waiver that MUST be filled out each and every appointment at the front door on the porch. Once completed you will call or text Beth at 7809847345 and she will come meet you at the door to bring you into the clinic space.  Once entering the clinic space, you will immediately wash your hands and enter into the treatment room.
  • Any patient who answers yes to any of the pre-screening questions is not able to attend the clinic and will be directed to contact Alberta Health at 811.   If your appointment is cancelled due to a positive screening question, we will waive cancellation fee and endeavour to reschedule your appointment 14 days later.  Our staff will also be screened each day and will not be able to come into the clinic if there are any affirmative screening questions.  We respectfully request patients to help us ensure a healthy and safe environment in the clinic by answering the pre-screening questions honestly and following the new procedures in the clinic.
  • To further limit the number of people in the clinic at one time, we kindly ask that you do not have anyone accompany you into the clinic. Exceptions including if you need assistance or a guardian accompanying a minor.  Any accompanying person will also be pre-screened at the arrival to the clinic and will not be allowed to access the clinic if answering yes to any pre-screening question. If a family member or friend drives you to the appointment, we respectfully request that they wait in their vehicle during the appointment.
  • Additionally, we request that you arrive at the clinic at your appointment time, not before or after.  This allows for appropriate patient staggering, and proper cleaning of the treatment rooms and common spaces between each appointment.
  • Our staff will be wearing masks during treatments and throughout the clinic day.  Patients are welcome to bring (but not required) their own masks to wear during the treatment should that make them more comfortable and we will have a limited number of masks available to patients at request.

If you have any questions, please call or text us 780-984-7345 or email us at info@pointofhealth.ca.
